At Moydrum Castle Pedigree Herds great care is taken of our Pedigree stock and great pride in their success.

We exhibit at most of the agricultural shows in Ireland and find it is a great way of promoting the Angus and Shorthorn breeds and of course the Moydrum Castle Pedigree Herds.

Only top sires are selected to produce what is best in the Angus and Shorthorn breeds.

The Moydrum Castle Pedigree Herds was established in 1985 to continue an Angus / Shorthorn breeding tradition carried on by my late father John Flanagan of the Moylaw Angus / Shorthorn Prizewinning Herd, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo with one purpose in mind – To produce what is best in the Angus and Shorthorn breeds, both males and females.

Athlone being the centre of Ireland makes it a perfect location for travelling to agricultural shows and sales. Visitors are always welcome by appointment.
